The Red Jacket STP solution optimizes fuel flow and dispensing. It is the foundation model that sets the standard for high throughput, high reliability fueling applications and is certified for use with the following fuels:
- 100% Diesel or Gasoline
- Ethanol concentrations up to 10%
- MTBE, ETBE, or TAME concentrations up to 20%
Built for Biofuels and Blends
In addition to fuel types supported by The Red Jacket STP, The Red Jacket AG STP is UL 79A and UL 79B certified for use with the following fuels:
- Biodiesel concentrations up to 100%
- Ethanol concentrations up to 85%
- Methanol concentrations up to 15%
- Jet Fuel and AVGAS
- Kerosene and Fuel Oil
Built to Combat Corrosion
The Red Armor® STP is compatible with the same fuel types as The Red Jacket AG STP, but also protects against:
- Acetic Acid corrosion in ethanol blended fuel sumps
- Microbial Growth in Tank (Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel)
- Known Corrosive Environments

Learn MoreThe Red Jacket STP Fuel Flow Pathway
The control box receives its electrical signal from the dispenser hook/handle to turn on the STP.
The motor propels fuel through the Unitized Motor Pump (UMP) shell by creating pressure or rotational energy. The diffuser collects and directs the flow of liquid into the bottom portion of the UMP while the impellers then sling the liquid outward and up through the UMP pathway.
Once fuel travels through the UMP it enters the column pipe. This piping is the conduit between the UMP and packer manifold by allowing fuel to pass through as well as carrying the electrical connection from the UMP to the packer manifold.
Fuel enters the packer manifold, whose main function is to keep the line primed via the check valve and discharge fuel to the piping infrastructure.
