Automate Your Premium Fuel Program
Using the same technology as the Additive Injection System (AIS), the Biofuel Injection System (BIS) automatically blends incoming fuel with biofuel as it’s being delivered to the tank to create blended products. Similar to the AIS, it connects to the TLS Automatic Tank Gauge (ATG) to automate the blending process and add the required amount of biofuel into the incoming stream of gasoline or diesel in small batches every few seconds to improve the consistency and uniformity of the blended product.
Provide Blended Products at Your Forecourt with the Biofuel Injection System
- Continuous and simultaneous operations for up to (2) fuel tanks with standard configuration and expandable, if required
- Flexible, scalable solution works with different biofuels such as biodiesel and ethanol to create blends such as B20 and E15
- Precision measurement allows for full traceability to blend ratio and automatic adjustments to maintain blend ratios
- Automated injections drive an efficient fuel delivery process – No driver intervention needed
Benefits of the Biofuel Injection System for Retail Fueling Operations
- Differentiate fuel offering with biofuel blended products available at the forecourt to be compliant with environmental requirements
- Improve safety and eliminate human error
- Create fuel sourcing options by taking control of biofuels that will be blended with the products
- Marketers may be eligible for State or Federal biofuel blend credits for blending on-site
How It Works
- The TLS-450PLUS ATG alerts the BIS Controller that a delivery is in progress.
- The BIS Controller receives the delivery signal and activates the additization process. The BIS Controller manages blend ratios and controls system hardware.
- Solenoid valves open to release the flow of biofuels into the tank.
- Flow meters monitor the dosing of biofuel quantity.
- Collar drop positions the biofuel into the stream of the delivery.
- The BIS Controller manages input from the flow meters and closes the solenoid valves when the desired blend ratio is met.
- The BIS Cloud or access via third-party monitoring service, using live Application Programming Interface (API), provides access to configure and manage the system remotely.
