Overview
Software version 11.F adds Serial Command Inquiry Only, a new security setting for TLS-450PLUS & TLS4 Series Automatic Tank Gauges (ATGs) that blocks unwanted configuration changes over the serial command port.
When Enabled, the ATG accepts Inquiry commands but rejects all Set commands. The ATG can still be queried for data, but no configuration can be changed remotely. Use this alongside other security best practices to reduce exposure to network intrusion.
Important: This setting is applied per Ethernet port. It is not a global setting – it must be enabled on each Ethernet port you want to protect.
To Enable: Navigate to Menu > Setup > Communication > Ethernet Port. Set “Serial Command Inquire Only” to “Enabled.”
