Overview
This notification is to inform technicians of required modifications to programming for TLS-450PLUS, TLS4, and TLS4B Automatic Tank Gauge (ATG) sites operating 24-hour Static Leak Detection (SLD) in conjunction with Generator Mode.
Generator Mode pauses SLD when the ATG receives a generator signal.
- When the generator input is received by the ATG, it will not pause the SLD test in progress resulting in a failed test, if fuel is leaving the tank.
24-Hour SLD Tests are intended to provide continuous leak monitoring for generator sites.
- SLD tests running in 24-hour cycles will never return a test result, as the test runs continuously.
Affected Configurations
Sites with the following configurations:
- Sites utilizing Generator Mode to pause SLD testing based on a generator input
- Sites utilizing SLD in 24-hour test cycles
Action Required
Setup > Tank > Environmental Test Customers should configure SLD to test less than 24 hours (between 2 and 23 hours) and avoid times when the generator might be tested to avoid nuisance alarms.
