Manage time settings on a TLS-450PLUS Automatic Tank Gauge

This quick tutorial shows how to set the date and time settings on the TLS-450PLUS Automatic Tank Gauge. These settings are used upon setup of the tank gauge, or can be used after a power outage or to update after a time change.

On the TLS-450PLUS and TLS4i/c consoles you do not specifically program Daylight Savings Time. The console has this functionality built into the time zone selection as well as updating directly through Network Time Protocol (NTP).

Setting the time on the TLS-450PLUS Console:

  1. Follow the navigation to the Date and Time Settings. Select Menu > Setup > Date and Time.
  2. Click in the Current Date field and a popup calendar appears, select the current date.
  3. Click on the Current Time pull down fields to set the time.
  4. Click on Time Zone and select the local time zone.
  5. Enable Network Time Protocol (NTP), enter in your NTP server, test your connection, select check to enable.

(Note: You will see an error regarding the Time Zone settings. NTP bypasses the manual Time Zone settings but we recommend Time Zone is still used in case of lost connection.)
