Improved Integration
Integrating new technology – it's not always as easy as we’d like it to be. STP controllers haven’t been exempt from that in the past.
Current installation challenges for STP controllers include:
- Two hook signal wires are needed to connect each controller to an Automatic Tank Gauge (ATG)
- Different controllers are required for 1-phase and 3-phase STPs
This process is neither easy nor efficient. Here’s how the Red Jacket IQ2 Smart Controller differs:
- One standard ethernet cable connects the ATG to the first IQ2, and then one standard ethernet cable connects each IQ2 to the next, creating a “daisy-chain” network
- IQ2 supports all motor sizes in the Red Jacket STP portfolio
Less wiring means simpler installation, increased flexibility in controller placement, and reduced servicing.
One controller compatible with all STP motor sizes means installation and service look the same for each IQ2 controller.
