Who will benefit from using the Biofuel Injection System (BIS)? |
- Marketers who are looking to enhance their fuel offerings, attract eco-conscious consumers, and stay compliant with the fast changing biofuel landscape, while boosting their profits and differentiating their brand in the competitive market.
|
Why would I select the BIS over other types of biofuel injection methods? |
- The BIS provides a more consistent blend than low-tech splash blending or batch blending methods. These methods rely on operator input and basic devices that dispense large amounts of biofuels, prior to the start of each delivery, for the incoming fuel to mix the biofuels inside of the tank. These methods are not as reliable and inherently prone to several issues, such as:
- Missed deliveries
- Poor accuracy
- Incorrect dispensing
- Limited or no traceability
- Operator entry errors
- Inconsistent mixing of additives
|
When does the BIS treat my fuel? |
- The BIS continuously monitors for fuel movement. When a delivery is detected, the BIS Controller will instantly calculate the amount of biofuel needed for each product or tank and immediately begin sequential treatment of the incoming fuel. The BIS is always active and provides 24/7 coverage for automatic blending of incoming fuel. It will simultaneously treat gasoline and diesel tanks using different biofuel ratios.
|
Where does the BIS connect to my forecourt or commercial site? |
- The BIS Controller connects to the existing tank level system (TLS Automatic Tank Gauge) via a network interface card (NIC) to monitor for incoming fuel, outgoing fuel, siphon transfers and thermal expansion. The BIS hardware controls (i.e., meters, valves, etc.) are connected to a biofuel tank and plumbed directly to each tank sump via double wall piping to a UL Approved BIS injection sump.
- The BIS becomes part of your forecourt infrastructure for use as a wet stock management tool.
|
Why would I use the BIS to treat fuel outside of terminals? |
- The BIS is a premium biofuel injection system available for blending incoming fuel with biofuels to the desired ratio by the Marketer.
- Marketers can manage their own biofuel blending.
- Marketers can easily manage their biofuel blend ratios.
- Marketers may be eligible for State or Federal biofuel blend credits for blending on-site
