Business Inventory Reconciliation Feature Enhancement
Business Inventory Reconciliation (BIR) tracks fuel as it enters or exits each of the underground storage tanks in your fueling system, regardless of delivery or dispensing activity. Then, it automatically collects metered sales information from electronic and mechanical dispensers and gives you accurate delivery and reconciliation reports on a shift-by-shift basis. BIR reports from the TLS-450PLUS can be used to meet federal, state and local inventory control requirements.
Increase the accuracy of tank calibrations
If your tank chart is not accurate you could be missing fuel losses and loss events, or reporting inaccurate variances. Using the automatic tank calibration program, AccuChart with BIR provides an advanced reconciliation process for reducing variation among inventory, delivery, and dispenses; less variation means better management of cash flow at your sites. Once the system has completed the calibration process, the TLS-450PLUS system will generate inventory control records that are highly accurate based on the dispenser meter throughputs.
Key Features of BIR
- Standard AccuChart Tank Calibration Feature to improve reconciliation accuracy
- Programmable Variance methods to meet Federal, State and Local inventory control requirements
- Hourly Reconciliation Monitoring for dynamic leak detection
- Variety of Reports available. (Hourly, Shift, Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly)
- Reconciliation Alarms and Warnings that can be displayed, emailed and printed from the TLS-450PLUS tank monitoring system
- TLS-450PLUS system continuously improves the established tank calibration and adjusts calibration period to ensure reliable variance information.
- BIR features include Adjusted Delivery Reports that provide an accurate accounting of delivery and dispensing amounts during a fuel delivery.
Accurately calculate delivery reports, even if the site remains active
Using Business Inventory Reconciliation you can keep your site running, verify delivery amounts, and continuously have accurate, adjusted inventory reports. The Adjusted Delivery Report calculates the amount of fuel dispensed during the delivery to provide an adjusted delivery amount and verify the actual amount delivered.
Calculating an Adjusted Delivery Report:
1. Starting fuel inventory of 1400 gal.
2. Receive a fuel delivery of 5000 gal.
3. Dispense 120 gal. during the fuel delivery
4. TLS-450PLUS with BIR reports:
- Delivery - 5000 gal.
- Adjusted Delivery - 4880 gal.
- Ending Inventory - 6280 gal.
Hourly Variance Tracking Features
TLS-450PLUS ATGs with Business Inventory Reconciliation (BIR) software feature can also use the Hourly Reconciliation Monitoring features. This provides dynamic leak detection that monitors the rolling 24-hour average variance. Hourly Reconciliation Monitoring has programmable threshold alarms and reports data either in real-time or in blocks with individual start and end events that are matched to tank activity. Using hourly variance tracking allows for fast notification of wet stock loss and a quicker response times.
