880 Cellular Radar Level Sensor

The Veeder-Root 880 ATEX / Intrinsically Safe Cellular Radar Level Sensor uses radar technology to measure the fluid liquid level of the tank being monitored and then communicates this data in a binary message to a remote server via a TCP connection. This is communicated via CAT-M1 / NB-IoT networks. This device is specifically designed to be a low profile, non-invasive, continuous liquid level sensor. It is a simple and cost-effective solution perfect for Commercial & Industrial applications.

1 Storage and operation above +68°F (+20°C) may reduce battery life. Minimum distance measured is derated with temperatures <32°F (<0°C).

2 Based on a measurement to a flat liquid target of size 4.65in2 (30cm2) and γ reflectivity of liquid or object. E.g.: Kerosene range is typically 4m due to lower  dielectric constant. Consult Veeder-Root for range limits for various media. Non-invasive range is dependent on tank and liquid type – consult factory for further details.

3 One communication per day and assumes a good signal strength, so that no retries are required. One sample every 60 minutes.
