New software version provides enhanced features for TLS Series Automatic Tank Gauges

SIMSBURY, CT – October 9, 2006 – Veeder-Root announces that its Inform Version 4.0 Release is now available for shipment.  This software provides enhanced monitoring features for Automatic Tank Gauges (ATGs) of all brands, announced Cal Tanck, Global Platform Manager for ATG Products for Veeder-Root.

Inform is Veeder-Root's easy-to-use remote communications software that helps station owners fully utilize their ATG consoles. The product is designed to automate data collection and provide flexible report generation while increasing control over all sites by providing centralized and accurate inventory, leak detection and diagnostic information.

“This new version will help customers by saving them significantly in connection time, and by enabling them to use one software to monitor all types of ATGs, including those with the latest Veeder-Root smart sensors” said Tanck.

A key feature of the new software is its Quick Connect capability which saves installation time by allowing the user to download the ATG set-up once so that every time Inform polls that site, it only takes data from what is set-up in the ATG instead of looking at every potential parameter.  This is critical for those customers with multiple sites that poll several times a day. 

Another key feature is the software’s new support of Smart Sensors that enable emailing of Smart Sensor Alarms and new Vacuum Monitoring Reports.

The new version also provides improved modem communications, supports V26 multi-point tank chart and density/mass calculator, as well as Mag Sump Sensor Sump Integrity Testing Reports and some ISD features, including daily and monthly in-terminal mode.
