Veeder-Root Announces New Installation Kit for Sensors

Simsbury, CT, USA - June 16, 2003 - Veeder-Root, the leader in
automatic tank gauging and fuel management systems, announced today the
release of their new Interstitial Sensor Kit to further enhance
accurate detection of liquid in double walled tanks.
The new kit addresses one of the most common problems in installing
a leak detection sensor, which is ensuring the exact placement of the
sensor at the bottom of the tank so it will immediately detect a leak.
A misplaced sensor may not be able to immediately detect one because it
is out of position, thereby reducing the effectiveness of a leak
detection system.
Veeder-Root's new kit, which can be used for fiberglass tanks up to
10 feet in diameter, makes it easier to install sensors accurately by
adding a Calibrated Positioning Strip. The strip is left in place at
the time of installation so that the sensor can be removed and
re-installed with little effort during annual inspections, saving time
and money, and eliminating frustration and guesswork.
With better detection, retailers will now be able to take faster
action to correct serious product loss and prevent safety and
environmental problems.
