Veeder-Root First to Offer Real-time Wireless Automatic Tank Gauging with Continuous Statistical In-Tank Leak Detection (CSLD)
SIMSBURY, CT – August 3, 2006 – Veeder-Root announces the full release of its TLS-RF Wireless System for retail Underground Storage Tank (UST) Applications, which offers the industry’s first real-time wireless system with CSLD for continuous 24-hour leak detection without tank shutdown, announced Cal Tanck, Global Platform Manager for ATG (Automatic Tank Gauge) Products for Veeder-Root.
“With rising fuel prices and heightened environmental concerns, station owners now have the ability to introduce or complete their network with Veeder-Root Automatic Tank Gauging technology and functionality utilizing wireless technology,” said Tanck.
The TLS-RF Wireless System for retail USTs enables station owners to install automatic tank gauging with real-time fuel inventory management in existing sites without breaking any concrete or disrupting operations – all with continuous 24-hour leak detection provided with CSLD.
“This is the only available wireless ATG system that is continuously monitored. The system transmits information immediately, rather than on a fixed time interval, so that it can detect deliveries and dispense events,” said Tanck.
The system is also designed to support containment sensors for customers concerned with monitoring around dispensers and STPs (submersible turbine pumps) without breaking conduit.
