The Red Jacket STP Fuel Flow Pathway

  1. The control box receives its electrical signal from the dispenser hook/handle to turn on the STP.

  2. The motor propels fuel through the UMP shell by creating pressure or rotational energy. The diffuser collects and directs the flow of liquid into the bottom portion of the UMP while the impellers than sling the liquid outward and up through the UMP pathway. 

  3. Once fuel travels through the UMP it enters the column pipe. This piping is the conduit between the UMP and packer manifold by allowing fuel to pass through as well as carrying the electrical connection from the UMP to the packer manifold.

  4. Fuel enters the packer manifold, whose main function is to keep the line primed via the check valve and discharge fuel to the piping infrastructure.
